Slimelord Siege is an action-packed tower defence game for Game Boy Advance that will keep you busy for about one to two hours.
Right this way! … or not?
The creator of this title, Alexanderzone, is no newbie making games, but this seems to be his first timer for GBA. According to the author himself, this title is heavily inspired by Collie Defense, a similar title launched two years ago for the exact same platform.
Coming to the actual gameplay, it features our main character, the Slimelord, who has the power to summon minions as he pleases. These minions start off as regular skeletons, but as time goes on and our little leader progresses throughout the stages, the minions become more and more capable of carrying out further attacks! If one of your precious minion gets to the brink of death while handling a foreign invader, hover to the open shop over it to give it enough health and energy to continue fighting! Want to move forward with the action? You can indeed fast-forward the gameplay by pressing L or R, the choice is yours at the end.
The game glances with a total of five acts with numerous waves of attacks. You will be challenged all the way long.
Music and visuals definitely do justice to the amount of work, which must have been put into this game. Those small intricate details of tunes appearing, when you kill an invader, absolutely makes this a pleasure to play. The pixel art looks good and does its job well.
As the release page quotes: ‘Are you ready to defend your kingdom? Dive in now!’ – Please, be our guest.
Conclusion
If you love tower defence games, keep an eye on this. Play it, enjoy it, and if you really love it a lot, what about getting a physical copy for some money?
