Some might remember the surprise hit Traumatarium, well the trauma goes on with Traumatarium: Penitent. The story is terrifying, as again, the castle, and its surrounding county is in danger. The graphics are realistic and outstanding, literally blowing you away with how captivating they are.

The land is ours!

The New York City based creator has really put in loads of efforts, which can be seen by the carefully thought storyline and steps the main character takes. Our warrior, who we shall cover in just a bit, has many outfit changes throughout the story, which is applaudable.

Occupiers have been sowing chaos in an abandoned area, where not a single soul has stepped foot in mere decades. To make things worse, they have taken over the castle, which remained the main form of governance, as an indicator for their upcoming takeover. It’s imperative that our friend fights this group to retake control over the castle and avoid any land grabs. The large maps will really question your determination, as we set off on a journey, bare feet. During his adventure, you must fight enemies and help regain vitality.

The tunes fit the game atmosphere, and make you resemble music, which you would expect on a NES.

Conclusion

A very lovely title, free to play on the release page, but costs you some money as a download. Dark storyline, astonishing artwork, a simply excellent dungeon crawler game. Why was this not on the shelves back then? This game is a true gem, amongst nowadays releases.
