Business related board games are often perceived as boring, especially when they are round based. That is, until a banger comes out and keeps you hooked for hours, while your better half desperately seeks for you. ‘Spediteur’ features probably one of the most boring jobs in real life, but in the most fun way possible.

SIGNED, SEALED & DELIVERED!

You are a freight forwarder, responsible for transporting cargo across several locations. If you want to earn appropriate, it is needed to plan wisely. The game features few areas. North America, mostly covering the US. Then we do have UK & Ireland, Germany and Poland, followed by a larger Europe map. With real life routes, you must navigate and make difficult choices of moving cargo along a road route or transferring it to a ship. Be aware that certain issues can approach on your tour, which you may also experience in reality. Jealous competitors will make your life less pleasured, as they will slow you down. Each action will cost you points and are limited. The whole game is made by only two people: ‘Friedrich Volmering’ was responsible for art, concept and programming. ‘Jörg Winterstein’ made sure we have nice music and sound.

Be on the lookout for traffic jams, while you route your trucks. If you choose to play the single-player mode, you will be simultaneously handling three to four different trucks, depending on the track you’re on. Load and unload cargo, collect cash and guide the drivers safe. The one with the most money collected wins. Small graphics representing trucks along the route are shown to help you see where things generally lie. Each successful task is followed by a chiptune symphony that leaves you motivated.

Conclusion

Truly, we have a very solid and enjoyable capitalistic road trip here, with an easy and understandable task. The graphics fulfil their needs and still look appealing, while not being high-end.
